Kunai is an iOS app that identifies anime scenes based on images. The app only needs an image to tell you which anime, which episode and the exact timestamp the screenshot was taken from.
There are multiple reasons why this is happening: your image is not an origianl anime screenshot, the anime is not currently indexed or your image contains modifications (i.e color, text on screen, rotated, etc.)
Use screenshots with the original dimensions of the anime, normally 16:9 or 4:3. Additionally, remove any extra borders (if any). The app already takes care of that, but one never knows.
Currently, most animes since 2000 and some from the 1900s are indexed. Partially indexed anime are Jewelpet, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball, Crayon Shin-chan, Doraemon, Pokemon, Detective Conan, Chibi Maruko-chan.
The service we use provides the scene previews. It could be that the media was removed or relocated. It can also be caused by a slow internet connection.
Kunai is not a streaming service.
